This warning came through a notification from the university's emergency information system at 8:51 pm ET on Friday, August 29. Students are urged to avoid the area around the main library, and first responders are currently on the scene.

The university has requested residents in the area to refrain from calling emergency numbers for information until the situation is resolved. Currently, no information is available about the potential shooter.
