Uber Eats to soon deliver marijuana legally to people’s doorstep in Canada
Uber Eats partnered with Leafly and will deliver marijuana to people's doorsteps starting Monday in Canada.

No independent driver will deliver the cannabis but the retailer's staff will deliver it. People delivering legal marijuana will verify the sobriety and age of the customer according to Canadian law. Three retailers will start the programme including Shivaa's Rose, Minerva Cannabis and Hidden Leaf Cannabis.
Prior to the collaboration with Leafy, Uber had partnered with another retailer earlier in Ontario, but the customers had to pick their orders on their own.
Weighing in on the move, Lola Kassim, general manager of Uber Eats Canada, said they are partnering with market leaders like Leafly, which will help retailers provide convenient and safe options to purchase legal cannabis in Toronto. According to her, the doorstep delivery service would help reduce impaired driving and fight the illegal cannabis market. Additionally, Leafly's CEO said they have been empowering the Canadian cannabis marketplace for over four years and support over 200 retailers in GTA. He added he is thrilled to partner up with Uber Eats and is looking forward to the partnership.
