U.S. Presidential Election 2024: Poll says Donald Trump to sweep Republican primaries, DeSantis to win Florida GOP Primary
According to a recent analysis, Donald Trump is predicted to win the Republican presidential primary convincingly over Ron DeSantis, with Trump expected to win most states in both scenarios. Although DeSantis has a fundraising lead, he has faced c...

Trump and DeSantis are considered the frontrunners for the GOP's 2024 presidential nomination, but Trump holds a significant lead. If the Republican field doesn't consolidate, DeSantis is predicted to win only one state, his home state of Florida, and have a tied race in Utah. Trump, on the other hand, is forecasted to have a decisive or narrow victory in all the other 48 states. The model suggests that Trump would gather 1,774 delegates, well above the 1,234 required to secure the nomination. DeSantis is expected to win 440 delegates, while former Vice President Mike Pence would receive 10.
In the second scenario, where only Trump and DeSantis remain in the race after the Nevada primary, DeSantis is projected to have decisive wins in Wisconsin and Utah, as well as a narrow victory in Tennessee. Trump is forecasted to win in the remaining 47 states, including Florida. In this case, Trump is expected to secure 2,048 delegates, while DeSantis would receive 406 delegates, and Pence only two.

DeSantis raises substantial amount of campaign funds
Despite Trump's lead in the polls, DeSantis has raised a substantial amount of campaign funds, surpassing Trump's campaign and affiliated political action committee. According to reports from Fox News, DeSantis and the Never Back Down political action committee have raised $150 million, while Trump's campaign has raised $35 million.
It's worth noting that DeSantis has faced criticism for a video shared by the DeSantis War Room Twitter account, which is associated with his campaign. In the video, DeSantis criticized Trump for his ties with the LGBTQ+ community, referring to him as a pioneer in injecting gender ideology into the mainstream. However, DeSantis has stood by his statements during an appearance on conservative influencer Tomi Lahren's OutKick show.
