U.S Presidential Election 2024: It's going to be tough for Kamala Harris, says famous strategist
A Democratic party strategist has sounded a warning for the party. He said that Kamala Harris will need to address a few challenges which threaten the chances of the party in securing a victory in the upcoming presidential election. He added that ...

He made these comments when he appeared on the MSNBC’s Morning Joe show. He said that there is enthusiasm in the party after Joe Biden quit the race and Kamala Harris emerged as a front runner to replace him. She has also already raised more than $200 million within 24 hours. However, she is going to find that the campaign will only get tough.
Short period of time:
The presidential election will take place on November 5 and the Democrats will hold their national convention from August 19-22. There may be a virtual roll call before the national convention. Kamala Harris is expected to receive the presidential nomination during this period. Can she afford to take it lightly till then? This is what Carville has warned against. He pointed out that a presidential campaign, normally lasts over a period of eight months and now Harris will have to execute this campaign in less than four months. Time is running out and she will to work hard and strategically plan out the campaign. She will need to focus on the swing states. Joe Biden’s popularity in these states had considerably reduced in recent times. She will need to work on re-capturing the support from these states.
Donald Trump is a formidable opponent:
Carville also pointed out that Donald Trump has managed to convince a large section of the electorate to support him. He may have lied, used disinformation tactics and everything else to take on the Democrats. Kamala Harris will need to work on breaking this complex phenomenon and address the voters directly. He added that the Republicans do not care about what is fair and what is not and this will pose a challenge to the Democrats. FAQs

Does Kamala Harris have any opponent within the Democratic Party who can challenge her?
Most of those front runners have now fully endorsed Harris’ nomination. She has received the support from almost all the Democrats, cutting across various interest groups. There are news reports that Michelle Obama may receive a nomination and may replace Joe Biden. This is yet to be seen.
