Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a former independent presidential candidate, hinted on Wednesday that former President Trump's debate performance might affect independent support. He said that polling the following week might reveal a drop in support among the crucial voter group.

Kennedy claimed that Trump got distracted, and it's unfortunate in an interview with Fox News. He believed he had a strong case for the presidency, but he was unable to convince the American people of it. Trump has asserted that he won the debate on Tuesday and implied that the results of later polls support his claims. Following the debate, a CNN flash poll revealed that the majority of viewers, 63 percent, thought Vice President Harris had defeated Trump.

Kennedy, questioned the veracity of those surveys implying that lot of them probably have statistical issues. Kennedy stated that he would continue to support the former president notwithstanding his opinions about Trump's performance. Kennedy declared that President Trump won on the substance. He praised Harris during the interview, stating that her delivery polish, organization, and preparation clearly won the debate.

Despite this, he continued to support Trump, stating that the former president wins in terms of his governance. Kennedy contended that Trump could have provided a more thorough response to the first question, which asked if Americans are better off now or four years ago, by bringing up issues like rising Middle East tensions or rising rates of poverty. All of these things can be attributed to poor leadership from the Biden-Harris team, and that’s the argument he should have been making, as per Kennedy.
