U.S. Elections: Donald Trump has a whopping 20% lead over Kamala Harris, according to pollster Nate Silver
The likelihood of Vice President Kamala Harris winning has decreased, and both candidates view the next debate as crucial.

The model also reveals that the Republicans have made a comeback in each of the swing states within the last week, with the increase varying from 0. 3 to 1.2. The former president is expected to win all seven swing states, or so-called battleground states. The model predicted that both Harris and Trump would be equally close in Wisconsin and Michigan last week. It also shows that while Harris will garner 256 electoral votes to Trump’s 282, the likelihood that she will sweep all of it in terms of popular vote share has slightly lessened from 58 to 56 %.

Despite Harris's impressive performance in the polls, the former president led Harris by one point among likely voters in a recent nationwide survey done between September 3 and September 6 by the New York Times and Siena College. The New York Times conjectured that this could signal the end of Harris' honeymoon phase and a euphoric August for the vice president. It is the first significant poll to reveal a decline in support for Harris.
Analysts have cautioned that it is too soon to determine whether Harris' lead has been overtaken and that the latest poll is currently an anomaly. RealClearPolitics predicts Trump wins the Electoral College when toss-up states are removed, with Harris leading in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nevada. Trump is predicted to win Arizona, North Carolina, and Georgia. Pennsylvania is the only swing state where pollsters differ.
