Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk for historic undisputed heavyweight boxing champion fight

Tyson Fury will fight Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, dates and other details are yet to be confirmed.

Tyson Fury will fight Oleksandr Usyk for an unprecedented undisputed heavyweight fight, according to Fury's promoter Frank Warren. The blockbuster fight is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While 35-year-old Fury of Britain is reigning WBC Champion, Ukraine's Usyk is the holder of WBA, WBO, and IBF titles, as per reports.

While the venue city has been fixed, fight date, schedule and other key details are yet to come out.

The upcoming showdown will determine the inaugural undisputed heavyweight champion in the era of four major championship belts. Since 1999, the world of heavyweight boxing has been without an undisputed champion, a status that was last held by Lennox Lewis when he defended the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles with a victory over Evander Holyfield.

While the intended date for the bout is December 23, there's a possibility of it being postponed until early next year. However, there has been no official confirmation. Fury boasts an impressive record of 33 victories and one draw since entering the professional boxing arena in 2008, while Usyk remains undefeated with a perfect record of 21 wins in his professional career.

The bout will be featured as part of 'Riyadh Season,' an annual winter entertainment events festival hosted in the capital city of Saudi Arabia since its inception in 2019.

"This is the biggest fight that could possibly be made in our sport," said Fury's promoter Frank Warren. He also added, "The heavyweights always spark the imagination of the fans, and I have no doubt this will be the biggest boxing event of the century."

Earlier, Fury received criticism for the inability to reach an agreement with Usyk, which resulted in the cancellation of a proposed bout scheduled for London's Wembley Stadium in April.
