Tyson Foods has issued a recall for about 30,000 pounds of its frozen dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets. This recall comes after reports emerged of metal pieces being found in the product.

What is the impact of Tyson Foods' recall?



The recall affects 29-ounce bags of "Fun Nuggets" produced on September 5, 2023. The affected products have a "Best If Used By" date of September 4, 2024. Consumers in several states including Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin should take note.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall following consumer complaints about the presence of metal in the nuggets. There has been one minor oral injury reported. FSIS has not received any other reports of injuries or illnesses.

Packages containing the affected nuggets have lot codes 2483BRV0207, 2483BRV0208, 2483BRV0209, and 2483BRV0210, with an establishment number "P-7211" on the back of the package.

Tyson Foods is cooperating with the recall and is working to remove the affected product from distribution. Customers with concerns about an injury or illness are advised to seek medical attention.
