The announcement, signed by board members Doug De Groote, Mike Miller, Tom Sodeika, and David Engelhardt, cited biblical references and emphasized organizational continuity following the September 10 shooting that claimed Kirk's life.
The board statement indicated that Charlie Kirk had prepared the organization for leadership transition scenarios. "Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one. He worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests," the announcement stated.

The organization's leadership emphasized their commitment to continuing Kirk's mission and vision. Board members described serving alongside Charlie Kirk as "the honor of our lives" and expressed pride in announcing Erika Kirk's appointment to lead the conservative organization.
Turning Point USA vows to continue founder's mission
In the announcement, Turning Point USA leadership committed to carrying forward Charlie Kirk's work despite the attempted disruption. "We will not surrender or kneel before evil. We will carry on. The attempt to destroy Charlie's work will become our chance to make it more powerful and enduring than ever before," the statement read.The organization quoted Charlie Kirk's frequent refrain that "We have a country to save" and pledged to maintain their role in what they described as bringing Americans closer to their faith and fostering national prosperity.
Investigation into Kirk assassination continues
Tyler Robinson, 22, has been charged with aggravated murder in connection with Charlie Kirk's death at Utah Valley University. Prosecutors have indicated they will seek the death penalty in the case.The shooting occurred during a Turning Point USA campus event, leading to a multi-day manhunt before Robinson's arrest. The FBI had offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's capture.
