Tulsa District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler's daughter gets arrested for allegedly stabbing father

Tulsa District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler was allegedly stabbed by her 30-year-old daughter. District Attorney Kunzweiler was first elected in 2014. The daughter and the father got into a heated altercation, which led to an assault caused by her daughter, Jennifer Kunzweiler.

She had first cut herself and then went on to stab her father. The assault resulted from the mental crisis the daughter was going through.

After the assault, the father and daughter were taken to Saint Francis Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The firefighters had to wrestle with the daughter to get her under control.


Jennifer remained in the hospital on Wednesday under police guard. The case is under investigation by the family violence unit and crime unit.




Jennifer Kunzweiler will be booked on a single count of domestic violence with use of a dangerous weapon. As the injuries were not found to be fatal, the District Attorney was discharged from the hospital.
