Halo fans were treated to a major surprise at the 2025 Halo World Championships on October 24, as Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) announced Halo: Campaign Evolved, a full remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved. Following the announcement, GameStop jokingly declared the decades-long “Console Wars” officially over in a viral X post. The White House’s Rapid Response account then amplified the gag, claiming this would count as the ninth “war” Donald Trump had ended.

Shortly after, the White House account shared an AI image of a Trump-styled Spartan outside a GameStop store with the caption “Power to the Players.” But the us flag posted on the official account of X only contains 40 stars, 10 less than the original flag representing 50 states.

What followed in the comments was a meme fest and political satire to tear apart the misrepresentation.

One of the popular X handles named Greg posted, "Not to be that guy but the flag only has 40 stars on it.” And the replies to the post were hilariously serious.

“They're deporting 10 states,” Many joked that the map looked incomplete, as if certain states had been deleted in a software update. One viral tweet read, 'The blue states don't count.'

Another user quipped, “This map looks like when your phone can’t load the full picture and only gives you the preview.” The red–blue divide jokes also rolled in, with one comment reading, “That’s because the blue states were kicked out of the Union.”

Some users took it further, imagining a Trump-era “America 2.0 patch update” where states were merged or sold off. “North and South Dakota have been combined to save storage — now just Dakota,” joked one user, while another tweeted, “It's us, Denmark. We bought a couple of states, hope you don't mind.”

Someone posted "States We Don't Really Need But We Like Anyways Most of the Time."
