Trump will go after Musk like Mohammed bin Salman went after members of the royal family, says Michael Cohen

Michael Cohen, who once worked as Donald Trump's personal lawyer, said the close friendship between Trump and Elon Musk will end in a bad way. Cohen said he always knew this friendship between Trump and Musk wouldn’t last. He now thinks Trump will start going after Elon Musk’s money, as per reports.

Cohen said Trump is jealous that Musk is the richest man in the world. He also said Trump only used Musk for his money. During the 2024 election cycle, Musk gave about $291 million, mostly to help Trump. Cohen thinks Trump will use a new government group called the “Department of Government Efficiency” to go after Musk, as per an MSNBC report.

Trump might try to punish Musk for how his companies like Tesla used government money or help. Trump may try to take back some of the government money Musk’s companies got, like subsidies for Tesla. Cohen compared this to what Mohammed bin Salman did to his own royal family, arresting and detaining them to gain more power, as per reports.
