The legal settlement required CBS to release transcripts of interviews with eligible US presidential candidates after broadcast, subject to redactions for legal or national security concerns. "I will be interviewed on 60 Minutes right after the Kansas City / Buffalo NFL Football Game.
Hopefully they will treat me as well as they did Kamala. Enjoy!" Trump posted on Truth Social before the broadcast. While watching the NFL game before his 60 Minutes interview aired, Trump posted criticism of the league's kickoff rules on Truth Social.

"I HATE WATCHING THE NFL'S NEW KICK OFF RULE. IT'S RIDICULOUS — TAKES THE PAGEANTRY AND GLAMOUR AWAY FROM THE GAME, AND DOES NOTHING FOR SAFETY," the 79-year-old president wrote.
Trump advocated for reverting to previous kickoff procedures. "HOPEFULLY COLLEGE FOOTBALL WILL NEVER MAKE THIS RIDICULOUS CHANGE! IN THE MEANTIME, I'M GETTING READY TO WATCH PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP (ME!) ON 60 MINUTES," he added.
NFL implemented kickoff rule changes to increase returns and reduce injuries
The NFL instituted kickoff rule changes last year and modified them before the current season. League officials implemented the changes to increase kickoff returns and minimize dangerous collisions between players.Trump previously criticized the NFL's kickoff modifications during an October appearance on NewsMax's Greg Kelly Reports.
"Where the ball is kicked and the ball is floating in the air and everyone's standing there watching it. It's ridiculous," Trump said. "It's not any safer than the regular kickoff. I think it, it just looks terrible. I think it really demeans football, to be honest with you. It's a great game, but it demeans football."
In a September Truth Social post, Trump described the changes as creating "sissy football."
