Trump posts week-old photo — internet explodes with fresh health conspiracy theories
President Donald Trump has once again gained attention and public scrutiny regarding his health after sharing a golf photo that raised questions about his current condition.

Trump posted a picture on his social media, Truth Social, showing him golfing with former football coach Jon Gruden, which captioned: "Great playing Golf with Jon Gruden - A really nice guy, and true character!" But, observers cited that the photo was actually taken a week earlier, igniting speculation that it might misrepresent his present state.

Travis Akers, a retired U.S. Navy intelligence officer, remarked: "I'm not a conspiracy theory guy, but if you're fighting off increasing rumors that you may have suffered a major medical episode and to disprove that rumor and provide proof of life, you post a picture of allegedly playing golf with Jon Gruden today, it would be beneficial to post one that wasn't from August 23rd."

Political consultant Fred Wellman cited: "This is insane. The President of the United States is obviously lying about his activities and the lack of curiosity by the media is stunning." Similarly, Matt Rein, who works with Democrats, questioned: "Is it not very bizarre to any reporter that Trump/The WH and their allies are trying to pass off a photo of Trump and Gruden as having been taken today, and not last week?"

Although discussions continue, there is no exact proof suggesting that Trump’s health is in immediate risk. The White House did not offer further remarks when contacted by Newsweek.

Medical Background

Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, cited the concerns in a July memo: "The president underwent a comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies. Bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70."

Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) affects blood flow in the legs and may result in swelling or bruising but is normally non-threatening, particularly in older adults.
