Trump announced his decision in a post on the social media platform Truth Social, where he described Adams as an “incredible patriot and very successful entrepreneur, whose love of, and devotion to, our Great Country is an inspiration.” The US President further said that Adams was a “bestselling author, speaker, and commentator.”

Following his nomination, Nick Adams, who became a US citizen in 2021, thanked Trump in a post on X, saying that all dreams come true in America. He further added that it will be an honor for him to represent the US in Malaysia.
“Mr. President, thank you for the honor of a lifetime. In your America, all dreams come true. It will be my honor to represent the United States of America in Malaysia. To the esteemed Members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I look forward to a confirmation process that is at the heart of the Constitution that has given me the freedom to pursue the American Dream,” he said. “Thank you again to our Greatest President Ever! God Bless the United States of America!,” he added.
Adams grabbed the attention of the US people when Trump said his book, Green Card Warrior: My Quest for Legal Immigration in an Illegals’ System, was a “must read” on X.
Later, he authored several other books, including Retaking America: Crushing Political Correctness, Class Dismissed: Why College Isn’t the Answer, and The Most Dangerous President in History. After becoming a resident of the US, Adams garnered a huge MAGA following and has built a brand as a self-styled "alpha male" and "cultural thought leader."
