Over the course of about two months, there have been two known attempts on the life of the former president Donald Trump, and experts told Fox News Digital that he may still be at risk of more. This is not the final effort that will be made. They will not stop pursuing him, said Gene Petrino, a 26-year veteran of Florida's Plantation Police Department and an authority on active shooter situations, in a Fox News Digital interview on Tuesday. Other people are going to see it that way, and the only responsible thing to do is now increase even more his security footprint. Suspect Ryan Routh allegedly pointed a rifle towards the 45th president on Sunday just outside the club's perimeter, but Trump was safely escorted from the green at his West Palm Beach, Florida, golf club. Routh ran away from the scene but was caught on I-95 shortly after.

Since it appears that Trump was the target of an assassination attempt, authorities are looking into the incident. At a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 20-year-old Matthew Crooks shot Trump in the ear.
Trump's second attempted assassination attempt has sparked concern among security experts, who have praised the actions of the Secret Service and other law enforcement. The attempt did not fire a shot off, as a Secret Service agent spotted and shot at him first. Former NYPD officer Bill Stanton and Sens. Roger Marshall and Tommy Tuberville have called for increased security surrounding Trump, while Sens. James Risch, Mike Lee, Marco Rubio, Bill Cassidy, Rick Scott, and Bill Hagerty have requested that Rowe and the Secret Service designate President Trump as a protectee with the same level of protective resources afforded to a sitting president. Trump has lobbed similar attacks against Biden and Harris.
