US President Donald Trump has expanded his golf empire with the opening of a newest 18-hole course in Scotland on July 29, adding to his already extensive portfolio of luxury golf properties worldwide. The new Scottish course, which happens to be his 18th, reinforces Trump's long-standing interest in the sport and further cements his presence in the international golf scene.

The new course at Trump International Scotland near Aberdeen is scheduled to officially open on August 13, according to TrumpGolf.com. With this addition, the US President now owns or operates golf courses in the United States, Scotland, Ireland, and the United Arab Emirates, further expanding his global golf footprint.

Notable properties include Trump National Doral in Miami, Trump Turnberry in Scotland, and Trump International Golf Links in Dubai.

Trump-owned golf courses set for PGA and LIV events in 2026

In a notable shift for professional golf, Trump-owned courses will host both PGA Tour and LIV Golf events in the same year for the first time in 2026, according to Sports Business Journal.

LIV Golf confirmed its return to Trump National Golf Club Washington DC in Sterling, Virginia, from May 8–10, marking the continuation of its tradition of staging tournaments at Trump properties since its 2022 launch.

Meanwhile, the PGA Tour is set to return to Trump National Doral near Miami for an event scheduled April 30-May 3.

The tournament could be a high-profile signature event, potentially featuring a $20 million purse. This marks the PGA Tour’s first return to Doral since the 2016 WGC-Cadillac Championship.

Doral has previously been a fixture on both circuits: LIV Golf held events there from 2022 through 2025, while the PGA Tour has a long 54-year history at the venue.
