Trump called TACO, now his press secretary gets her own nickname — here’s who coined it and why it matters
Trump’s press secretary Karoline Leavitt called some judges unfair. A former Trump lawyer, Ty Cobb, didn’t like it and gave her a nickname.

One of the judges was actually picked by Trump himself, and another one was picked by President Ronald Reagan. Even though some judges were conservatives, Leavitt still called them “activist judges.”
Ty Cobb, a lawyer who worked in Trump’s White House, didn’t like what Leavitt said. He called her “creepy Karoline”, according to a CNN report. He said people don’t take her seriously and that she doesn’t know much.
Cobb said her comments were defensive and wrong. He explained that courts weren’t trying to stop trade, just checking if the president had the legal power. He said the law Trump used had never been used before for tariffs. Cobb believes the law won’t let Trump do whatever he wants with tariffs. This isn’t the first time Leavitt attacked judges,as mentioned in the reports.
In March, she called a judge in a deportation case a “Democrat activist.” But that judge was actually appointed by Republican President George W. Bush. On Wednesday, the U.S. Court of International Trade blocked Trump’s tariffs, saying Congress can’t give unlimited tariff power to a president. The next day, a federal appeals court put that decision on hold, so the tariffs came back, for now, as per Daily Beast report.
The three judges in the case were picked by Reagan, Obama, and Trump, a mix of political backgrounds. Ty Cobb used to work in Trump’s White House from 2017 to 2018. He was in charge of how the White House handled the Russia investigation. Cobb often talks on news shows and is usually critical of Trump’s actions, as stated in the reports.
