World leaders at a high-level summit in Copenhagen couldn't help but laugh at President Donald Trump's most recent mix up related to geography. While bragging about his foreign policy successes, the U.S. president mixed up Albania and Armenia by mistake, which led to playful teasing from his European counterparts.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama jokingly told French President Emmanuel Macron that Trump had given him credit for a peace deal with the wrong country. The exchange, which was caught on camera, made Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev laugh, as per a report by Politico.

What made people laugh at the summit?

Rama told Macron at the European Political Community meeting in Copenhagen,“You should make an apology … to us because you didn’t congratulate us on the peace deal that President Trump made between Albania and Azerbaijan.” This lead to Aliyev to burst out laughing. “I am sorry for that,” Macron joked, as per a report by Politico.

What has Trump said about his foreign policy successes?

“I solved wars that was unsolvable. Azerbaijan and Albania, it was going on for many, many years, I had the prime ministers and presidents in my office,” Trump said pointing to supposed peace deals between "Azerbaijan and Albania."

He even said at a press conference with Britain's Keir Starmer, “We settled Aber-baijan and Albania," mispronouncing one country and misidentifying the other, as per a report by Politico.

What really went down between Armenia and Azerbaijan?

In fact, Trump invited the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to the White House in August, where they both agreed to end their long-standing hostilities and strengthen their ties with Washington. He called the deal a historic diplomatic breakthrough and said it was part of his larger campaign to win the Nobel Peace Prize, as per a report by Politico.

Has Trump made mistakes like this before?

He once mixed up Hungary and Turkey, calling Viktor Orbán "the leader of Turkey" and saying that Hungary is next to Russia. Trump said, "We're going to Russia," before meeting with Vladimir Putin, even though the meeting was really in Alaska, as per a report by Politico.

Trump's mistake about Armenia and Albania is just one more in a long line of geographical mistakes. This makes people question his foreign policy story as he runs on his claim to have "ended wars."
