Trevor Noah to return as host of 2023 Grammy Awards after leaving ‘The Daily Show’

The list of nominations for the highly-awaited 2023 Grammy awards is here! Popular American singer Beyoncé is leading with as many as nine nominations across various categories. She is followed by stars Kendrick Lamar, Adele, Taylor Swift, etc. The gala ceremony will be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah and is slated for February 5, 2023. Here's a look at key nominees and highlights of the forthcoming awards.

Beyoncé has emerged as the star of the 65th Annual Grammy Awards with nine nominations. The 41-year-old has been nominated in categories such as Best Song Written for Visual Media, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Dance/ Electronic Music Album, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, Best Dance/ Electronic Recording and Best Traditional R&B Performance.

It seems that former lovers Taylor Swift and Harry Styles will be going head-to-head in two major categories at the Grammy Awards 2023. For the Song of the Year category, Harry Styles’s ‘As It Was'' will be competing alongside Taylor Swift’s ‘All too Well’. The duo will also be competing for the Best Music Video honour for the same tracks.

The South Korean boys band, BTS, has been nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. The Bangtan Boys band has also been nominated for the Best Music Video category for their latest track ‘Yet to Come’. This is the first Korean-language song to be nominated for a Grammy Award.

For the Grammy Awards Record of the Year category, 10 singers have been nominated. Among The top contenders for this title include ABBA for ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’, Adele for ‘Easy On Me’ and Beyoncé for ‘Break My Soul’. The other singers who have been nominated include Doja Cat, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Lizz, and Brandi Carlile Featuring Lucius, Steve Lacy and Mary J. Blige.

As many as 10 singers have been nominated in the Album Of The Year category. The top contenders are ABBA for 'Voyage', Adele '30', Bad Bunny ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ and Beyoncé for ‘Renaissance’. Singers Brandi Carlie, Coldplay, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo and Mary J. Blige are also competing in the category.

Ten music artists have been nominated for the Grammy Awards 2023’s Song of the Year category. Adele has been nominated for ‘Easy on Me’, Beyoncé for ‘Break My Soul’ and Bonnie Raitt for ‘Just Like That’, Other singers who are competing for the honour are DJ Khaled, Gayle, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, Steve Lacy and Taylor Swift.

When it comes to one of the most talked about categories of the Annual Grammy Awards - ‘Best New Artists’, there are ten singers who are vying for the honour. The list includes Anitta, Domin & JD Beck, Latto, Måneskin, Molly Tuttle, Muni Long, Omar Apollo, Samara Joy, Tobe Nwigwe and Wet Leg.

Five songs have been nominated in the Best Rap performance category this year. The musicians who will be racing alongside each other for this title include DJ Khaled featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend & Friday for ‘God Did’, Doja Cat for ‘Vegas’, Gunna, Future, Young Thug for ‘Pushing P’, Hitkidd, Glorilla for ‘Let’s Go’ and Kendrick Lamar for ‘The Heart Part 5’.
