Actor Tom Holland was taken to a hospital for treatment after he fell while filming a stunt on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The filming of the movie was halted following the incident. According to Deadline, the filming of the latest Spider-Man installment was suspended on Friday (September 19, 2025) as the actor was treated for a mild concussion.

A source from the production team also told Deadline that he will take a break “out of precaution.” He is, however, expected to return to filming in a few days.

Tom Holland Injury: Stunt gone wrong

The Sun reported that Holland sustained an injury after a stunt went wrong. The outlet also reported that he has since attended a charity event the following weekend after the injury with co-star and fiancée Zendaya.

No one else was affected during the incident. A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow to adjust filming plans, sources told Deadline. However, The Sun reported that a woman, thought to be a stunt double, was also rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

“We were called at 10.30am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford, " a Service spokesman of the East of England Ambulance was quoted by The Sun as saying. “An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care,” he added.

There are high chances of changes in the filming schedule following Holland’s injury and a meeting is scheduled for tomorrow to adjust filming plans, according to Deadline. According to The Sun, British star Tom’s comedian dad Dominic confirmed that his son would be away from filming “for a while”.
