Tom Cruise walks outside the plane mid-air for Mission Impossible 8 stunt; Details here
According to a recent announcement, Tom Cruise is set to appear walking on the exterior of an airplane in the upcoming movie Mission: Impossible 8, also known as Dead Reckoning Part Two.

Although we've witnessed Tom Cruise perform daring feats like jumping a 15-foot gap between two cliffs with just his hands in MI 2, dodging a knife that was mere centimetres from his face in MI 3, scaling a skyscraper in Ghost Protocol, hanging from an aircraft in Rogue Nation, and clinging to a helicopter in Fall Out, Mission: Impossible 8 is set to bring his stunts to an even greater level of danger.
According to a recent report by Screenrant, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two will feature a breathtaking stunt where Tom Cruise, the franchise's leading actor, will be walking on the exterior of an airplane while it is flying. This means that in Mission: Impossible 8, Cruise will not only be seen hanging or peering out of a plane but also walking on the outside of it while it is mid-air.
At the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference, Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish hinted at the daring stunt in Mission: Impossible 8 while speaking to Deadline. He revealed that Tom Cruise will be seen walking on the exterior of an airplane while it's flying, and not against a green screen. Bakish also commended Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, describing it as an "insane" and thrilling experience.
New on-set photographs from the making of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two reveal that Tom Cruise is once again striving to perform some intricate stunts. Writer-director Christopher McQuarrie shared images of the stunts on social media, including a behind-the-scenes shot of filming a V-22 Osprey mid-air and a photo taken from the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier.
