Al Roker, 68, has been "Today" weather anchor for many years and was hospitalized again after being released on Thanksgiving Day.

Al Roker made his first appearance virtually since the “toughest surgery ever”. In the Today Show segment, he told his co-hosts: "It has been a tough slog, I'm not going to lie, it has been the hardest one yet and I've had my share of surgeries." Al Roker expressed gratitude for the people who helped him through a hard time, anchor Hoda Kotb then inquired about his recovery moving forward. Al Roker informed that he had planned a knee replacement in Jnauarey but noted that “I feel good”.

Al Roker was initially hospitalized due to a blood clot forming in his leg, which made its way to his lungs. He spent the holiday with his family before heading back to the hospital. Hoda Kotb, his co-anchor, announced that he is in excellent care at the hospital. Kotb announced that the doctors were watching him closely, and Roker and his family wanted to tell everyone how grateful they were for all the good wishes, support, and love.
