Toby Keith, the Country Singer died on Monday aged 62 years. The same was informed by his family in a statement that was posted on his social media accounts and website during early Tuesday.

The statement said "Toby Keith passed away in a peaceful way last night on February 5th. He was surrounded by his family during that time. He has fought a courageous battle with utmost grace. His family needs their privacy to be respected at this moment."

The country music star based out of Oklahoma was renowned for the 1993 blockbuster song "Should've Been a Cowboy."


Toby Keith has a wife, Tricia Lucus besides three children and four grandchildren.
