Tim Scott’s girlfriend Mindy Noce makes onstage debut Miami Republican debate

Tim Scott was joined by a notable guest during the recent Republican presidential primary debate on Wednesday - his girlfriend.

According to a campaign statement, the woman who appeared alongside Scott on stage after the debate and posed for a photo with him was confirmed to be "his girlfriend Mindy."

The woman in question was later revealed to be Mindy Noce, currently serving as a design and renovations manager in Charleston, South Carolina.


Scott's personal life has attracted attention during the campaign, particularly since the 58-year-old South Carolina senator has never been married. In subsequent interviews following the debate, Scott shared that he and Noce have been in a relationship for approximately a year, and she had also attended his campaign launch event earlier in the year.

Earlier this year, during a campaign stop in Iowa, Scott opened up about his girlfriend, offering insights into his upbringing and faith as he discussed his relationship. While addressing various topics, including COVID-19 vaccine mandates and other policies, Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird inquired if there was a "special lady" in his life, aside from his mother.

To this, Scott responded affirmatively, referring to his girlfriend as "a lovely Christian girl." In a light-hearted moment, he jokingly asked the crowd, "Can we just pray together for me?"

The South Carolina lawmaker further emphasized, "As a person who grew up in a single-parent household with significant financial challenges, I fully grasp the impact of family breakdown. I had to face the consequences of an absent father. I made a personal commitment to ensure that wouldn't happen in my own life."
