TikTok star KingBeardX dies at 47; What led to his sudden death?

John Crawley, widely known on TikTok as KingBeardX, has died at the age of 47 following a serious health crisis. He passed away on August 18, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. According to James Steele, funeral director at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany, Mississippi, Crawley’s cause of death was cardiac arrest.

Severe health struggles

In early August, Crawley experienced severe breathing difficulties, leading to hospitalization. His condition deteriorated rapidly, requiring placement on a ventilator and transfer to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). A chest tube was also inserted to assist his breathing as his respiratory issues worsened.


Friends and family reported that Crawley had been struggling with these serious health issues for at least two weeks before his death. At the time, he was the primary provider for his family and lacked medical insurance, prompting friends to set up a GoFundMe campaign initially aimed at covering medical expenses, which is now supporting funeral costs.

Crawley became famous for his humorous reactions to food-related content on TikTok, gaining millions of followers. Fans praised his ability to bring laughter and positivity, creating a lasting connection with audiences across social media. His final TikTok post was shared on July 22, 2025
