Chelsey described Steve as the most attentive father and the best husband, emphasizing that the characters he portrayed online were vastly different from his true self. She expressed deep gratitude for the support he received from his online community, which allowed him to live his dream of making people laugh. The couple had been married for 16 years and shared three children.
"My children are on here, so please be kind. They're Gen Z or Gen Alpha or whatever. I am not gonna tell my children they can't grieve online. I will probably grieve online, too," Chelsey added. "This is life now."
She urged people to cherish their loved ones and live life to the fullest, saying, "Try to live your dreams every day. Love your family and take care of yourself."
A GoFundMe campaign established to support the family’s expenses has raised $33,000. The fundraiser notes that Steve leaves behind a legacy of laughter and a family that could use the community’s support during this difficult time.
