The Seattle Seahawks experienced a bizarre moment in the very first quarter of their Thursday Night Football clash with the Arizona Cardinals, turning a potential momentum-shifting play into a missed opportunity. With 8:58 left in the opening quarter, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray attempted a pass intended for wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. up the seam. Instead, Murray badly misfired, and Seahawks defensive back Coby Bryant intercepted the throw with ease. The pick looked like a golden chance for Seattle to seize early control.

However, as Bryant began his return, he collided with his own teammate, linebacker Tyrice Knight. The awkward collision knocked the ball loose, and the Cardinals jumped on the fumble to take the possession back. Seahawks players initially believed they had secured the turnover and even celebrated in the end zone, but to their dismay the officials ruled that Arizona had recovered.

The Cardinals grabbed the opportunity with both hands on the second attempt, capping the drive with a field goal to grab a 3-0 lead. For Murray, the whole incident turned out to be a stroke of fortune as his mistake could have drawn significant scrutiny. But thanks to Seattle’s slip-up, the turnover was erased, leaving Murray to breathe a sigh of relief.

Jason Myers nailed three field goals, capped by a last-second 52 yards game-winner as time expired, to lift the Seattle Seahawks past the Arizona Cardinals 23-20 in Glendale, Arizona.

Murray nearly staged a stunning comeback, throwing two touchdown passes in the final six minutes to erase a 14-point deficit and tie the game with 28 seconds remaining. But a kickoff infraction gave Seattle possession at its own 40, and Sam Darnold quickly moved the offense into scoring range, sealing the Seahawks’ eighth straight win over Arizona.
