Three months after vanishing, missing Colorado man found dead in Coal Creek.
A missing man from Colorado, who was last seen in late April 2025, was found dead in Coal Creek near Superior, Fox affiliate KDVR reported, citing officials. His truck and dog, which were seen near a hotel in May 2025, have been found, authorities said. The mother of the man, identified as Paul Aragon, reported him missing on May 8, 2025, according to media reports.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said that the body of the 34-year-old was found on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, about 150 yards east of the Flatirons Vista Trailhead by a crew member with Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, according to Fox affiliate KDVR. The remains of the man were reportedly sent to the Boulder County Coroner's Office. The agency identified the victim on Thursday, August 28, 2025, according to PEOPLE. The agency, however, did not make any comment on whether foul play was suspected.

The latest developments surfaced almost three months after police announced Aragon's disappearance on May 20, 2025. He was believed to have been working in Littleton or Lakewood and was living in his truck around the time of his disappearance.

The truck was found on May 2

A police officer saw Aragon’s truck on May 2 in a construction area off Edgeview Drive, near the WoodSpring Suites outside of Broomfield, at about 3:15 a.m. local time, according to KDVR. The engine of the truck was reportedly still running, its lights were on, and Aragon’s dog was inside. Another officer checked on the vehicle on May 3, 2025, and found that it was parked with the dog still inside, according to media reports. Aragon’s mother was notified by police that her son’s dog had been located.

She told authorities that she and her family had not heard from Aragon since April 28 or 29 and that he had not shown up for work on May 5. Aragon's cause of death is under investigation, according to KUSA.
