Thorpedo Anna, the brilliant filly who captured hearts with her stunning victory in the 150th Kentucky Oaks, has officially retired from racing to begin her new chapter as a broodmare. Trained by Kenny McPeek, Thorpedo Anna enjoyed a stellar three-year-old campaign highlighted by her Oaks triumph at Churchill Downs.



Known for her power, composure, and consistency, Thorpedo Anna retires with multiple graded stakes wins and a legacy as one of the standout fillies of her generation. As she transitions from track to stable, hopes are high that her offspring will carry forward her champion spirit.

Thorpedo Anna retires from racing with an impressive resume that cements her place among the sport’s greats. According to Keeneland, she amassed over $5.4 million in earnings and captured 10 Graded Stakes victories during her illustrious career. From 16 starts, she recorded 12 wins and 2 runner-up finishes, showcasing remarkable consistency and dominance on the track.

Thorpedo Anna’s stellar performances earned her the prestigious 2024 Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year and Champion 3-Year-Old Filly, honoring her as the standout performer of her generation.
