This upfront money is the only thing he can rely on. He is not sure when this will end, Affleck added. He has got a family and is just one wrong comment away from getting fired or a movie bomb away from never working again.


Affleck and his long-time friend Matt Damon founded Artists Equity in November 2022, intending to establish equitable compensation for artists and studios in the business.

He has been in films like 'Gigli,' that's a famous example, Affleck clarified. For that, he received a sizable cash payout. In hindsight, it doesn't feel right because the studio lost money.

Despite being the most well-known bomb in history, it wasn't the most financially disastrous film ever made. That doesn't sit well with him, though, he acknowledged. However, it also irritates people when they leave. Hold on, we all made sacrifices to be dedicated to this.

Affleck is now focused on his personal life, including dating again after his divorce from Jennifer Lopez after two years of marriage. A source told Entertainment Tonight that he is open to dating again but cautioned that dating is not at the top of the star's list.

Lopez, 55, recently shared that she is not looking for anybody to date and is happy being single for the time being. She filed for divorce from Affleck on Aug. 20, the two-year anniversary of their second wedding ceremony.

When comedian Nikki Glaser suggested that Lopez has a new bar for the next person that comes along after her split from Affleck, Lopez was adamant about staying single.
