According to Dallas Morning News, the Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham expressed her agency's readiness to support federal efforts while stating that they are looking for additional land to facilitate this initiative.

The ranch will be eventually utilized as a part of Operation Lone Star, which is Governor Greg Abbott's ongoing immigration enforcement strategy, noted Dallas Morning News.
