Comedian Taylor Tomlinson, widely known for her Netflix specials "Look At You" and "Quarter-Life Crisis," has been selected to fill in Corden's show on CBS.
The news of Tomlinson replacing Corden was announced on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
Clobert himself is producing Tomlinson's new show which is expected to air in 2024.
Tomlinson's show, "After Midnight," will fill the 12:30 a.m. time slot. Corden gave up hosting in April and announced his plans to bid farewell to the popular CBS talk show last year.
The new show has taken inspiration from comedy series '@midnight'. The show aired more than 600 episodes from 2013-17.
Reflecting on his departure, Corden shared, "When I started this journey, it was always going to be just that. It was going to be a journey, an adventure. I never saw it as my final destination." He emphasized his desire for the show to remain fresh and enjoyable, stating, "I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way. I always want to love making it."
Corden, known for his role in "Gavin & Stacey," disclosed his plans to shift his focus towards theater work, expressing a sense of "urgency" to leave the CBS show and California altogether.
