A lot has been going on around the Social Security Administration over the past few days, especially after Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency entered into a major rift with the Social Security Administration around seeking access into sensitive personal data of millions of Americans. This led to the acting commissioner of the Social Security Administration, Michelle King, to resign from her post, with no clear reason for her exit.

New Social Security chief inducted as Michelle King's replacement

Meanwhile, the Donald Trump administration has made an almost immediate replacement for Michelle King by appointing Leland Dudek, who previously headed up Social Security's anti-fraud office, as the new chief of the Social Security Administration until President Donald Trump's nominee to head the federal agency, Frank Bisignano receives his confirmation for the top post, according to an AFP report.

Dudek, in an email, promised that he would be leading the agency in an open and transparent manner. Meanwhile, there are increasing concerns about Elon Musk's new department seeking access to sensitive payment information and personal data of millions of Americans who have a Social Security number. However, Musk's defense has been that there have been fraudulent payouts being given to millions of Americans through this federal agency, and a previous ET report states that the Tesla CEO even claimed that this could be one of the biggest frauds in history.
