Several international companies have stopped shipping goods to the US following newly imposed tariffs. President Trump’s trade policies have triggered a wave of supply disruptions, affecting luxury cars, watches and toys. Manufacturers are now delaying shipments and reevaluating their approach to the American market.

Toys

Basic Fun, a US-based toy company that manufactures in China, has paused all shipments to the US. The company produces toys like Tonka Trucks and Care Bears. CEO Jay Foreman told The Post that he cannot risk the cost of tariffs that could range from 54% to 104%. He added that this level of increase would force trade to slow down or stop entirely.

A spokesperson for Jaguar Land Rover said shipments to other countries will continue as normal, while the US will face delays due to the new trade terms.

Game Consoles

Nintendo has postponed shipping the Switch 2 to the US. The product, manufactured in Japan, will now carry a 24% tariff. The company said it is reassessing its launch strategy to adapt to changing trade conditions. The Switch 2 was initially set for release on June 5.
