According to the Desert News, it was announced a few months ago by "The Voice" that Clarkson will be replaced by singer-songwriter Camila Cabello as the new coach on the reality competition show. In the last season of the competition, Cabello mentored John Legend’s team.

Who is Camila Cabello?

Camila Cabello, 25, who became renowned as a member of Fifth Harmony, was born in Cuba. The singers of the girl group Fifth Harmony first met in 2012 when they were auditioning for “The X Factor” season two.

In an interview with The NYT, she said she clearly understood that it was impossible “to do solo stuff and be in the group” simultaneously. She also added that people shouldn’t tell you a ‘no’ when you’re trying to explore your individuality.

Though it was in 2018 that Cabello released her debut studio album “Camila,” however, over the years, she also collaborated with artists like Machine Gun Kelly and Shawn Mendes. Till now, the pop singer has released three albums, and the Latin music-influenced “Camila” reached the No.1 position on the U.S Billboard 200.

By starring in Amazon Prime Video’s musical take on “Cinderella”, she made her acting debut in 2021.

As per USA Today, the youngest coach on “The Voice” said about her fellow coaches as “great people” and that “they’re also hilarious.” She added that they take care of her on the show and “have genuinely become” her friends.

While talking to People, Cabello said that at first she felt a little bit of “imposter syndrome” after being the new coach of “The Voice”. She said she was “absolutely killing it” as she no longer feels pressure.

Fellow coach Legend told People how Cabello has been natural on the show and that the pop singer will be a “tough one” to beat.
