Amazon Prime Video released a trailer for The Sticky, a dark comedy series featuring Margo Martindale. The series follows her character Ruth Landry, who joins a multi-million-dollar maple syrup heist.

Plot and Cast
The Sticky follows Ruth Landry, played by Margo Martindale. Landry, a maple syrup farmer, faces trouble when bureaucratic authorities threaten her livelihood. Determined to keep what she values, she decides to attempt a heist. Ruth is joined by a mobster from Boston (Chris Diamantopoulos) and a quiet security guard from Quebec (Guillaume Cyr). The supporting cast features actors, such as Gita Millier, Guy Nadon, Mickaël Gouin, Suzanne Clément, Mark O’Brien, Meegwun Fairbrother and Vickie Papavs. Jamie Lee Curtis makes a guest appearance in the show.
The Sticky is loosely inspired by the real Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist. The trailer notes that the story is not a factual retelling. Instead, it uses the heist as a backdrop to explore crime and humor through fictional characters and scenarios.

The show will launch with all six half-hour episodes on December 6. It’s produced by Blumhouse Television, Comet Pictures, Megamix and Sphere Media. Executive producers include Jason Blum, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jonathan Levine. Brian Donovan and Ed Herro created the series, serving as showrunners and executive producers. Other executive producers include Gillian Bohrer, Chris Dickie, Jeremy Gold and Chris McCumber.This series adds to a list of collaborations between Blumhouse and Amazon Prime Video.
