The story follows the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas during World War II. The film highlights the unit’s struggles with racism, sexism and harsh working conditions while they were committed to serving their country. Despite these challenges, they remained determined to fulfill their mission, breaking barriers and delivering hope.

Cast

Kerry Washington plays the role of Major Charity Adams, the commanding officer of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. The ensemble cast also includes Ebony Obsidian, Milauna Jackson, Kylie Jefferson, Shanice Shantay, Sarah Jeffery, Pepi Sonuga, Moriah Brown, Jeanté Godlock, Susan Sarandon, Dean Norris, Sam Waterston and Oprah Winfrey.
