Although five seasons of “The Seven Deadly Sins” anime have ended, its fans are going to get more of it. The franchise will soon return on Netflix with a two-part movie spin-off. Interestingly, Nabaka Suzuki will return to writing the story of the spin-off, ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh’. Rintarou Ikeda has written the script of the film. The part 1 of the spin-off will start streaming on Netflix in December 2022.
Bob Shirahata is the director of the movie, while Noriyuki Abe, who directed Prisoners of the Sky, is the "Supervising Director." Recently, the official trailer of the movie confirmed that the release date of part 1 of Grudge of Edinburgh is December 20, 2022.
The plot of the Grudge of Edinburgh part 1 revolves around Tristan, who is the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, the Seven Deadly Sins protagonists. Tristan has the power of two clans - Goddess and Demon. While Tristan can heal people's wounds with the help of the power of the Goddess Clan, his inability to control the power of the Demon Clan sometimes hurts others.
Japanese actor Mikako Komatsu has lent her voice to Tristan, while teenage Tristan is voiced by Ayumu Murase. Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack are behind the animation of “The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh”.
