Background

The series follows Morpheus, also called Dream, played by Tom Sturridge. Dream is the ruler of the Dreaming and one of the seven Endless. The story begins in 1916 when an occult ritual captures Dream. He remains imprisoned for 106 years before escaping. After his escape, he works to restore his realm.

Tom Sturridge plays Dream, the central character. Other key cast members include Boyd Holbrook as Corinthian, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Patton Oswalt as the voice of Matthew the Raven, David Thewlis as John Dee, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer Morningstar, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine and Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death.

Production Team

The series is based on Neil Gaiman’s comic. Gaiman, David S. Goyer and Allan Heinberg serve as executive producers. They also co-wrote the series.
