Netflix announced that the complete second season of The Night Agent will be available on January 23, 2025. The first season debuted in 2023 and quickly became popular among viewers. It recorded 98.2 million views, making it one of Netflix's most-watched English-language shows. By total hours watched, Season 1 became the seventh most-watched English-language series on Netflix.

Storyline

The Night Agent is adapted from Matthew Quirk’s novel of the same name. The show follows the life of Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent. In Season 1, Sutherland’s actions saved the President, which led to his new role in Season 2 as a Night Agent. The Night Agents operate within a highly secretive organization called Night Action, exposing Sutherland to a world of danger and mistrust.

Cast

Returning lead actor Gabriel Basso will continue his role as Peter Sutherland in the second season. Other cast members include Luciane Buchanan, Amanda Warren, Arienne Mandi, Louis Herthum, Berto Colon, Michael Malarkey, Keon Alexander, Brittany Snow, Teddy Sears, Navid Negahban and Rob Heaps.

Production Team

Shawn Ryan, the developer of the series for television, serves as showrunner and executive producer under MiddKid Productions. Marney Hochman also joins as an executive producer, along with Seth Gordon and Julia Gunn of Exhibit A, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and Nicole Tossou with Project X, David Beaubaire with Sunset Lane Media, Paul Bernard, Munis Rashid, and Guy Ferland. Sony Pictures Television oversees the series’ production.
