Iman Vellani, the rising star of "The Marvels," recently opened up about her reactions to the film's conclusion and its intriguing post-credit scene. Vellani, who initially brought Kamala Khan to life in the Disney+ series "Ms. Marvel," shared her insights in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter. She disclosed that the scene with Kate Bishop was initially part of an old script, but it was never filmed.


Rumors suggested that it might be revisited during additional photography, possibly with a different Young Avenger. Vellani received the script just before additional photography commenced, and the revelation left her astonished.

“There was a version of this in an old script, but we never shot it,” Vellani explained. “Then there were rumors that we were going to get to it in additional photography, but with a different Young Avenger. I never really got the script until right before additional photography and then I flipped out."

Expressing her excitement and gratitude, Vellani recounted, “I cannot believe the honor that I am getting right now. This is crazy!" She also shared her surprise at the mid-credit scene, which was shot during principal photography, revealing Monica Rambeau's encounter with an alternate reality featuring familiar faces.

“I did not realize Beast was in it – I knew they shot it, but I was expecting to see something else. And lo and behold, they kept the secret even from me. I literally jumped and had a heart attack on my bed when I watched it for the first time. I texted every single person we worked with and was like, ‘How could you keep this from me?’ But at least I got to experience it as a fan, which was so cool. I’m just so excited to see what they do with that in the future.”
