This portrayal contrasts with his role as a healer, suggesting that the upcoming season will highlight his warrior side. Elrond's prominent role in the first season included a strong bond with Dwarven prince Durin IV (Owain Arthur). This alliance will play a crucial role as Middle-earth faces imminent threats.



The new poster's caption, "Heroes will rise," contrasts with the showrunners' previous statements. Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne have indicated that Season 2 will shift its focus from heroes to villains. The Dark Lord Sauron (Charlie Vickers), previously in the background, will now play a central role.
