The Kissing Booth actor Joey King calls Taylor Swift's tour experience 'exhilarating'

Actor Joey King shared the stage with singer-songwriter Taylor Swift on her ongoing The Eras Tour a month ago. The Kissing Booth actor got talking about being with Taylor Swift on her successful Eras Tour.

It may be recalled that Taylor Swift had brought together on-stage actors Joey King and Taylor Lautner, and musician Presley Cash during her tour in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 7 this year. The three got on stage with Swift to premiere their music video for her song ‘I Can See You (Taylor's Version)’.

A month on, speaking to CNN about the experience with Taylor Swift on stage in front of thousands of the singer’s fans, Joey King said, “That’s a different level. It’s a very niche experience to walk out on a stage of 70,000-plus people.”


But Joey King wasn’t aware that she was supposed to join Taylor Swift on stage. "I was like, ‘Bring me onstage?’ She (Taylor) was like, ‘Didn’t I tell you?’ I was like ‘You did not tell me I was going onstage,'” said Joey.
She revealed that she started “sweating and freaking out”, and was “really nervous”.

“But it was incredible to just have that experience and feel that energy coming at you,” she remembered.

“It just takes your breath away, and you’re genuinely caught for breath,” added Joey. “It was truly a breathtaking experience to see all those people that are sending all this energy at you directly. It was exhilarating.”

Joey King and Taylor Swift first worked together for her song ‘Mean’ in 2011. The actor starred in the song’s music video. So when Swift wanted King to feature in her new music video for ‘I Can See You’, she immediately said ‘Yes’.

“She showed me the treatment for the video that she had written, and it was an immediate ‘yes’ for me,” said King.
She added, “I love Taylor. Who doesn’t? She’s amazing.”
