"The Invincible" is a retro-futuristic video game that will be released later this year. It is based on a 1964 novel written by renowned Polish science-fiction author, Stanislaw Lem.
The game is presented from a first-person perspective and follows the story of the Invincible, a colossal battlecruiser spaceship that embarks on a mission to investigate the disappearance of its sister ship, Condor, on the planet Regis III. However, the Invincible soon discovers that it is facing a perilous fight for survival against swarms of self-replicating micromachines.
As per its official Steam page, "The Invincible" is said to be a story-driven adventure game set in a world of hard sci-fi by Stanislaw Lem, players are invited to reconsider humanity's domination. As scientist Yasna, players will explore planet Regis III using atompunk tools to search for a missing crew and confront unexpected dangers. The game presents a philosophical story that is rooted in science, giving players the opportunity to make choices that shape the narrative.
