‘The Flash’ closes at $9.7m on Thursday night, projected to make over $75m by weekend. Details here
DC’s latest release The Flash turned out to be impressive with Thursday night collection. It has garnered over $9.7 million.

It pulled a significant diversity with 35 per cent Caucasian, Hispanic and 32 per cent Latino, 20 per cent Blacks and 9 per cent Asians.
Despite a low critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, The Flash opens with a strong $80 million. Early audience reviews indicate positive ratings, with 4 stars and a 60 per cent recommend for general audiences, and 3 1/2 stars and 57 per cent recommend for kids under 12, although Thursday night reviews may be biased due to fan enthusiasm.
In a similar comparison, Wonder Woman had an impressive Thursday night box office of $11m, all thanks to high anticipation and a female lead as well as Gal Gadot’s charisma.
The Flash is projected to earn between $70 – $75 million over the weekend. However, if it follows the gross patterns of Doctor Strange and Venom, with tonight's performance accounting for around 30 per cent of its total Friday and preview earnings, The Flash could potentially reach the $80 million mark or even higher. For reference, Venom debuted with $80.2 million in the U.S./Canada, while Doctor Strange achieved $85 million.
