'The Devil's Hour', the twist-filled time-travel adventure series has ended. Tom Moran's show was packed with plenty of things in the six episodes of the first season. Although there is no official statement about the show's second season, there are many things in the first season that suggest the return of Peter Capaldi's Gideon Shepherd character.

In the series, Gideon is a killer who is somehow tied to the life of Lucy Chambers (played by Jessica Raine). Lucy is a stressed-out social worker who wakes up every night at precisely 3:33 am. She is also a mother to Issac (played by Benjamin Chivers), a troubled emotionless boy who can see things that others cannot. Lucy experiences deja vu. The end of the series explains that the problems of Lucy and Issac germinate from their past. Later in the show is revealed that Issac has reality-jumping powers.

In The Devil's Hour, Gideon dies many times. He was initially killed by his dad in a murder-suicide, but he returned to the past. He realises that he could change his fate if he kills his dad. And whenever he gets caught by the police, he kills himself, and everything resets. However, Gideon retains the memories of his loops. Interestingly, he kills only bad people before they commit their crimes.
