The Crown followers would be delighted to know that both Claire Foy and Olivia Colman will reprise their roles in the sixth and final season of The Crown. Here’s what we know.
Four actors playing the Queen in The Crown Season 6
The Sun reports that Foy and Colman would return as the Queen, probably in flashback sequences. Actor Imelda Staunton will continue to play the current and oldest version of Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown Season 6.
A new addition is actor Viola Prettejohn, who will play the youngest version of the Queen. The young actor had a cameo in Netflix’s The Witcher, as fake Ciri, and has also been seen on the HBO series The Nevers, as Myrtle.
This is not the first time that Claire Foy will feature in episodes after the first two seasons, where she played the young Queen Elizabeth II. She was also featured in flashbacks in The Crown Season 4 Episode 8 and The Crown Season 5 Episodes 1 and 4.
When is The Crown Season 6 out?
The sixth and final season of The Crown is being filmed and will premiere on Netflix towards the end of 2023.
The Crown Final Season is the only season that will be released after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch died on September 8, 2022.
