The Crown season 5: New cast, release date, and all you may want to know

The Crown will return with a new cast on November 9 as it announced the release date on its Tudum fan event online on Saturday. Jonathon Pryce will play Prince Philip, and Imelda Staunton will play Queen Elizabeth II.

After a two-year dismissal, The Crown is prepared to reign again.

At the Netflix Tudum fan event, the streamer announced that season five of the royal series would premiere on November 9, nearly two months after the Queen’s demise. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser that previewed the forthcoming divorce of Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles in the 1990s.

The new seasons will also enclose the divorces of Prince Andrew and Princess Anne. Reportedly, the season-five finale episode will focus on the demise of Princess Diana.
