The Boys season 4 Episode 1 on Prime Video: Release date, what to expect

"The Boys" season 4 is releasing on Prime Video this week. The satirical superhero series' first three episodes will be released on Thursday. Returning cast members include Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, Erin Moriarty and Chace Crawford. New to the cast are Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward as two new superheroes, Firecracker and Sister Sage. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“Grey’s Anatomy”, “The Walking Dead”) has also been cast in a mysterious role.

The trailer reveals a bit of the storyline. It opens with Karl Urban who plays the role of Billy Butcher looking back at his life and regretting the mistakes he has committed. He has a few months to live and is now determined to fix this mess. However, he cannot do this without the support of his team. He has also lost his job as the Boy’s leader. It is under such circumstances that the team has to quickly stop a take-over of the US and its political institutions.

It is also known that Butcher will release a deadly virus as part of his strategy. Victoria Neuman played by Claudia Doumit is close to the Oval Office even as others are consolidating their power. The fight is for the soul of America and the values established by its founding fathers.
